The Z4 does not show a shutdown screen due to its optimized shutdown process. This is normal. The blue light will turn off once the device has completely powered off.

In high-heat environments, the system may automatically disable certain functions or shut down to protect the device. The Z4 has been thoroughly tested under extreme temperatures, so there is no need to worry about its lifespan. During hot summer conditions or direct sunlight, avoid touching the device until it cools down.

Always power off the device before inserting or removing an SSD or SD card to prevent disk errors or data corruption. If corruption occurs, you can usually repair it using the Windows disk repair tool.

The Z4 does not currently support file transfer over USB. You can download videos using the iQ Viewer mobile app, or remove the SD card and use a card reader to transfer the files to your computer.

By default, the Z4 reserves 15% of the SSD or SD card to prolong storage lifespan. Up to 50% is allocated as the maximum space for the PROTECTED folder.If the PROTECTED folder is full, it can occupy up to 50% of the card, while the normal VIDEO folder will use about 35%.When no protected files exist, the VIDEO folder can use up to 85% of the total storage.

Yes, but keep in mind that the Z4 has higher power consumption. If you use a 1-to-2 or 1-to-3 power splitter, choose one with sufficient wattage to avoid power shortages or unstable operation.For best results, use separate 12V sockets, or power one unit through the HW1-E hardwire kit from the fuse box.Newer vehicles with Type-C ports can also power the Z4 using a high-quality Type-C to Type-C cable.

Commercial Driver Setup: Install one Commercial Version in the front and another on the rear window, with both infrared lenses facing inward. This setup clearly captures passenger interactions as well as vehicles approaching from the side windows.

The Z4 consumes more power than previous models. If you are using the HW1-E hardwire kit, Parking Mode is recommended for users who drive at least four days a week, or you can turn off the HW1 switch when monitoring is not needed.For electric vehicles, this is less of an issue due to the larger battery, but if the car will remain unused for several days, it is recommended to temporarily disable Parking Mode.

The most likely reason is that your vehicle’s wireless CarPlay is enabled. Wireless CarPlay takes priority over your phone’s Wireless connection, preventing it from connecting to the dash cam.

You can try: 
．Temporarily turning off wireless CarPlayUsing wired CarPlay instead.
．Connecting to the Z4 at home, where wireless CarPlay is not active.
．These methods usually resolve the issue.

Due to temperature differences between day and night and changing weather conditions, suction mounts may lose adhesion and become unreliable. For this reason, we have fully replaced suction mounts with 3M adhesive mounts to prevent the device from falling during use.

If you plan to install the Z4 in multiple vehicles, we recommend purchasing an additional 3M adhesive mount accessory (including a static film and 3M adhesive) for each vehicle.
